More race outings for ex-Clark Lotus 30

An ex-Jim Clark Lotus 30 will compete in Sports-Racing Masters events this season in the hands of Paul Whight. He hopes to use the 1965 car more regularly in 2009, having only raced it twice at Goodwood in recent times.

“We’ve been trying to get it to work since I bought it three years ago,” said Whight. “It was bought on a whim; it’s an animal of a car.”

Bob Dance rebuilt the car, having worked on it with Clark in period. It was re-bodied as a Lotus 40 in 1966, but has since been returned to Lotus 30 specification.
