Mark Donohue tribute organised

July 7, 2014

A celebration of the racing career of Mark Donohue will be held at the Road America circuit in Wisconsin on July 15-18 in conjunction with a classic race meeting.

The Reunion will celebrate the cars and career of the US racing legend, with a paddock display of many of his most famous racers. Donohue died in an accident at the 1975 Austrian GP.

On show will be his 1972 Indy-winning McLaren, the Porsche 917-10 he used to dominate Can-Am that year, the Lola T70 Spyder he used to win the 1967 USRRC and his Penske PC1 F1 car.

Paul Lawrence

Here is a man who goes racing every weekend from March to October. Paul’s passion for the sport goes back to when he was a child of the 1960s. He has organised, competed in and marshalled on scores of events, and has written about the subject for 20 years. He is as at home in the paddock at Brands Hatch as in a Welsh forest or at Shelsley Walsh.
