The Brits are back with a V8 Vantage GT

For the first time since 2018, Aston Martin is making an appearance at the Nürburgring 24 Hours. The British manufacturer will team up with TF Sport and put works drivers Marco Sorensen, Maxime Martin, Nicki Thiim and lap record holder David Pittard behind the wheel.

Aston Martin’s Vantage GT3, powered by a 4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine, will hit the road on 28-29 May on the 15½ mile-long circuit. The last time Aston Martin entered the race it was with a V12 resulting in a fourth-place finish.

Last year, Aston returned for a one-off race in the Nürburgring Endurance Series and won, making it the first victory on this circuit for a British-owned marque in the modern era.

Huw Tasker, AMR’s commercial controller, said: “We have a world class GT3 contender in theVantage, proven winners in TF Sport running the car and a squad of champions driving it.”
