Aston-Martin/Lagonda Appointment

Mr. James Watt has been appointed to the David Brown Tractor Group as Assistant General Manager of the Automobile Division.

It will be recalled that the Aston-Martin and Lagonda Motor Car companies, located at Feltham and Hanworth Park, were acquired since the war by the David Brown Tractor Group. Mr. David Brown, who is himself keenly interested in high-performance motor cars, is chairman and managing director of both companies.

Mr. Watt was, before the war, with Triumph and S.S. Jaguar Cars, and soon after the war founded, as co-director with Donald Healey, the Donald Healey Motor Company.

For the past two years Mr. Walt has been with the Austin Motor Co., concentrating mainly on exports. He was a squadron-leader in the R.A.F. during the war, and after operations with Coastal Command, was in command of a blind flying school. He holds the Air Efficiency Award.
