Exide longevity

While I can’t claim to have a battery as old as Mr. Wade’s, I still think my 12-volt Exide is pretty remarkable. I bought it in July 1954—ten years and six months ago and it is still in fine condition.

It lives in my 1937 M.G.—on which incidentally I do all my own repair, being an enthusiastic amateur mechanic—and has never failed to start the car yet. Naturally, it gets topped up and trickle-charged regularly.
