Windscreen washers

Sir,
I, too, am under the impression that Triumph pioneered the windscreen washer.

My copy of the 1935 Triumph catalogue (issued in October, 1934) shows clearly that all closed-car models, apart from the cheapest 4-cylinder “Gloria,” saloon, were equipped as standard with a “windscreen cleaning spray,” though curiously enough the makers did not stress the importance of this innovation in their foreword.
