The last real sports car — the Morgan?

Sir,

I am, by the way, the owner of a 1960 TR3A and have been both entertained and interested by the recent correspondence on this marque. I would like to add a few words to this in answer to the letter from the irate-sounding Morgan owner.

I myself often call the TR3A “the last great sport’s car”, but of course mean APART FROM THE MORGAN. The Morgan is such a national institution, an accepted fact, that this does not need to be said. We, the owners of other makes of car, pay Morgan the deserved compliment of leaving such an obvious statement unsaid, whilst accepting and agreeing wholeheartedly with it.

Darwen.
