Service deva-station

Sir,

In reply to Mr Hungry I can only say that this and the neighbouring farm are losing 40 acres of good agricultural land and ancient woodlands, to a monster lorry park and chip restaurant cum petrol station on the M25, which has already done enough devastation to this part of Kent/Surrey, and is I believe to be widened.

I travel occasionally in vintage cars on M-ways, mainly to distant events like Silverstone, Prescott and OuIton, and they are undoubtedly no problem for a properly geared under-two-litre car. However, I do not seek out derelict building sites to refresh myself preferring the delightful towns and villages on route, like Northleach, Henley-in-Arden etc. If a bit of planning is undertaken this method serves very well, to divert from M-ways, thereby mixing the route.

Richard Hulford,

Nr Westerham, Kent.
