Bugatti trust

The Bugatti trust is enlarging its premises at Prescott, which house priceless archives from the Ettore Bugatti regime, including tens of thousands of works drawings. The current issue of the BOC’s Bugantics includes an informative piece on the 14 houses, factories and showrooms used by Ettore or his family from 1900 to ’98, and a fascinating account of the T59 GP Bugattis raced by English owners. The respective authors are L G Matthew Jr and Yves Kaltenbach. It is good that VW has restored the impressive 1857 Chateau St Jean, which Ettore bought in 1928, to use as its Alsace headquarters.
