Masters shows signs of growth

July 7, 2014

The biggest package of historic and classic racing ever unveiled by one organisation has been confirmed by the Masters Racing Series for 2008.

In total, 12 race categories will compete in 22 race meetings at 15 European venues as the Masters movement expands.

Four Masters Festivals will feature Grand Prix Masters, World Sportscar Masters, the new Proto 70s Masters, Sports Racing Masters and Gentleman Drivers. They will be held at the Brands Hatch GP (May 25/26), Anderstorp, Sweden (June 6-8), Magny-Cours, France (August 30/31) and a late October/early November date at a southern European circuit.

Other dates include the Ferrari Historic Festival at Mugello, Grande Passione at Donington Park, the Silverstone Classic and the Spa Classic Six Hours.

Paul Lawrence

Here is a man who goes racing every weekend from March to October. Paul’s passion for the sport goes back to when he was a child of the 1960s. He has organised, competed in and marshalled on scores of events, and has written about the subject for 20 years. He is as at home in the paddock at Brands Hatch as in a Welsh forest or at Shelsley Walsh.
