European dates for Historic series

July 7, 2014

Motor Racing Legends is taking over the management of the BRDC Historic Sports Car race series, which will undergo a major overhaul for the 2008 season.

The series for 1950s sports-racing cars will no longer run as a domestic championship, with a number of longer races at high-profile classic meetings across Europe designed to rekindle support and attract more original cars to the grid. “Our aim is to build on the name and ethos of the BRDC Historic Sportscar Championship and also restore the vitality that the series has lacked in recent years,” said BRDC secretary Stuart Pringle.

He has organised, competed in and marshalled on scores of events, and has written about the subject for 20 years. He is as at home in the paddock at Brands Hatch as in a Welsh forest or at Shelsley Walsh.
