The Springbok Trophy Race was recently held on the Lord Howe Circuit, consisting of two heats and a final. The day was stormy and the track besides being very wet was also greasy, but even in spite of these conditions the crowd was estimated to be about 20,000. The winner of the final just managed to reverse the decision over Du Toit

(Frazer-Nash-B.I.W.) whom be beat by as narrow a margin as he had lost first place in his heat.
