Too late to be reported in this issue, the proposed new club for vintage and veteran motor-cycles met on the Hog’s Back, Surrey, on April 26th, to decide its title, etc. C.E.Allen, who made the original suggestion in Motor Sport, now back from overseas, and Cecil Burney, were behind the venture and offered an award for the most practical everyday vintage motor-cycle attending and another for the oldest machine to arrive. It seems that up to December, 1931, will be the date adopted to qualify a motor-cycle as “vintage” and that emphasis will be placed on reasonably rapid, practical machines. However, a veteran division was also under consideration. We wish this club well. Details from C.E. Allen, 43 King’s Avenue, Loughborough, or C.S. Burney, Cedar Cottage, Marlow, Bucks.

Those interested in model cars will find a comprehensive survey of car modelling down the years in the Model Engineer dated Aprill 11th and 25th, written by the Editor of Motor Sport.
