Motoring Pioneer Remembered

One of the great patrons of motoring and aviation in pre-war years was remembered last month when a walk in the Hythe Main Gardens was named after the late Lord Wakefield of Hythe, founder of the Castrol Oil Company and one-time Lord Mayor of London. The opening ceremony, which included the unveiling of a plaque, was performed by the Mayor of Hythe. The Castrol Company was represented by its Joint Managing Directors, Mr. W. H. Senneck and Mr. A. Limb.
