First Inter-Register Contest of 1959
The first Sunbeam S.T.D. Inter-Register contest of the season was held on April 19th, consisting of a navigational run organised by Peter Moores which terminated at Beaulieu. Competitors numbered 39, drawn from the Sunbeam, Fiat, Humber and Alvis 12/50 Registers and The Bull-Nose Morris Club, the latter fielding the only Edwardians in the form of two 1913 Morris Oxfords. The contest was won by the Sunbeam Register team, captained by R. C. Carter, the runners-up being the Alvis 12/50 Register and Humber Register.
