Lamps for the Rover 2000

Sir,

Should your correspondent fit the continental beam Q.I. lamps he proposes, I think he would be well advised to wait till he gets back to hairy Zambia.

In my experience, excellent though the flat-topped beam is, deflection in the horizontal plane by bumps when in the dipped position makes oncoming traffic here think you are flashing from dip to main, and with Q.I. intensity he is likely to find he is driving against main beams all the way.
