Sandy beaches can be seen at a glance in a new series of road maps now available at B.P. petrol stations. The ten maps, covering England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, cost is 6d. each. Colour codings on the maps indicate sandy and shingle beaches. There are also easy-to-follow references for other pursuits such as golf and race courses, yachting centres, motor-racing circuits and pot-holing and skiing centres. The scale is 1 inch : 4 miles. The maps are produced by the B.P. Retail Market Division of Shell-Mex and B.P. Ltd.
