Ferrari reversed the Daytona results at Sebring by winning the 12-hr. Endurance Race after a long battle with the JW Porsches. Both leading teams switched their fastest drivers to other cars as the race developed and a Ferrari success was mainly due to the consistently fast laps put up in the closing hours by Andretti.
