AC Owners’ Club

THE 428 Register of the ACOC is trying to track down the present whereabouts of the 50 or so AC 428 Fastbacks and Convertibles which are unaccounted for, out of the total production of 80. Barry Morris at 57 Northcote Road, Clapham Junction, London SW11 is the man to contact. While the 428 Register is seeking information, the Cobra Register have been in action in the Robin Hamilton Inter-Marque Championship, winning the first round against a strong team from the Aston Martin Owners Club.

De Tomaso Owners Club?

IT doesn’t actually exist yet, but it soon will if Philip Stebbings of 19 West Park, Eaton Rise, London W5 has anything to do with it. He is very keen to form a club for the owners of these fine cars and has already aroused some interest. Anyone else interested in such a venture should contact Philip as soon as possible.

MG Car Club V8 Register

IN May last year, we wrote of the excellent service provided by the small but active MG B V8 Register, especially the bound MG V8 workshop notes. Now a second volume of these notes is available, covering numbers 51 to 71, at £3.50 to members and £5.00 to non-members. Notes 72 to 100 will be available later in the year. Membership of the register is increasing and is now nearly at the 500 level. Apart from spares and maintenance advice and assistance, the register also offers a comprehensive social calendar. The Secretary is Victor Smith, 14, The Mall, London, SW14.

Bugatti Owners Club

THE Prescott season got off to a good start with a round of the Midland Hill Climb Championship; Dave Harris recorded a sub-40 second climb to make FTD. The next Prescott event is on May 1st and 2nd when the third round of the Pace Petroleum British Hill Climb Championship will be taking place. For Classic car enthusiasts, there is the “Classic Prescott” meeting on May 29th and 30th, where there will be classes for sports and racing cars up to 1964, subdivided into two groups, pre- and post-war. Secretary of the Meeting is Pat Preston of Deep Mill Lane, Great Missenden, Bucks and entries close on May 14th.

Marcos Club

THE magazine of the Marcos Club for the early part of 1982 arrived on our desk the other day, all 96 glossy pages of it. Its contents cover technical advice, spares, club activities and so on as well as book reviews and re-printed road tests; a very neatly produced club magazine. Main event this year will be the International Marcos Rally taking place at Castle Ashby, Northants on June 20th, coinciding with the tenth anniversary of the club.
