Photo opportunity

Mr G A D Smith (Letters, February ’93 issue), asks whether you have anything better in your archives than the superb photo of Nuvolari (Alfa Romeo) at Rheims in 1932. No doubt you have, but perhaps the enclosed photo of Tazio Nuvolari (Auto Union) at speed, Eifelrennen May 21 1939, which I took from the roof of the Nürburgring pits (left), may be of some interest.

Another favourite photo I took shows Phil Hill (Ferrari) in a powerslide on the Zandvoort circuit during the 1961 Dutch Grand Prix (below).
