The original Elkhart Lake track in Wisconsin is under threat from road construction plans. The roads were used for racing in 1950-53 before the permanent Road America circuit was built in ’55. Opponents of the plans are working to stop the road building in order to preserve the original track and place it on the National Historic Register.

Ray Mallock will return to his roots this season when he races his Mallock Mkll in the Classic Clubmans Championship.
Mallock, the elder son of marque creator Arthur, won the 1971 Shell Clubmans title in a Mkll and used another (above) to contest selected Formula Three races that season.

The Lola T142 F5000 CAR THAT featured in the Salvage Squad TV programme is to return to racing. The car’s owner Will Tomkins aims to run it in the Derek Bell Trophy and FORCE F5000 races.

British racer Adam Ruddle is preparing a 1960 Chevrolet Corvette for the Le Mans Classic. His car will faithfully mirror the three works ‘Vettes raced by the Briggs Cunningham team. The 4.6-litre machine should also be seen in Gentlemen Drivers’ races.
