Sir Stirling to head north of the border as part of a celebration of Scottish motorsport achievement Sir Stirling Moss OBE will be guest of honour at the Knockhill circuit’s second Classic SpeedFair in July: it will be 50 years to the very weekend since he took one of his most important grand prix victories, when he and Tony Brooks shared the winning Vanwall in the British GP at Aintree (above) — the first world championship win for a British car.

Moss will be at the Fife circuit on July 22 to participate in a celebration of Scottish competition heritage: “The fans in Scotland are very enthusiastic and certainly love their motorsport,” said the racing knight. “Scotland has produced some of the world’s greatest racing drivers.”

An 18-race programme includes an hour-long, two-driver pre-66 saloon event as well as singleseaters and sports cars races.
