Lola plans Golden Jubilee festivities

The 50th anniversary of Lola Cars will be marked with special events during two major UK historic race meetings this year.

In the Masters Festival at Brands Hatch (May 24-26) Lola will back two rounds of the World Sportscar Masters series, while the Oulton Park Gold Cup (August 24/25) will include displays of Lola racing cars, on-track demonstrations and awards for competitors in Lolas.

“It’s wonderful to reach 50 years and we are looking forward to celebrating,” said Lola chairman Martin Birrane. A Lola Mk1 was the first sports car to lap Brands’ Indy circuit in under a minute, a feat that is hoped to be repeated during the Masters Festival.
