Daly switches to Europe
Connor Daly, son of 1970s and ’80s Grand Prix driver Derek, is to cross the pond to forge his career in Europe.
US-born Daly, who won last year’s Star Mazda Championship, will contest the GP3 Series with the British Carlin squad. The 19-year-old has the continued backing of Mazda for his 2011 programme, which will include non-clashing roadcourse rounds of the Indy Lights series.
Daly previously contested two Formula Ford events in the UK at the end of 2008 as part of the Team USA Scholarship programme.
