Project CARS has been busy building Porsche’s best

As we’ve explained before on this page, the makers of Project CARS are just like you and me: proper motor sport fans. The latest pack released underlines that in thick blue and red Martini stripes, with the latest Porsche Legends pack celebrating 70 years of Weissach.

In it you’ll find a 917K and 908/03 in assorted famous liveries, plus their 1000-plus horsepower cousin, the 917/10. Audibly they are an assault, and physically a challenge. Tackling the ‘Azure coast track’ in the 908/03 is going to keep us entertained for weeks. It’s addictive, getting light over bumps and taking flight, and as satisfying as racing games can be.

There’s some nice subtle and appreciated touches, too, such as the leather-gloved hands gripping the wheel, and the open-faced helmets complete with white face scarf.

There’s a 911 Carrera RSR 2.8 – including our cover star – some Moby Dick 935s and Momo-branded long-tail variants. The 959 and Carrera GT cover off some new road cars, while the brand-new 911 RSR racer brings it all up to the here and now.

Not only that, you can channel your inner Willi Kauhsen and take them all around the Porsche test track – 10 corners replicating some of the toughest turns from around the world.

The Porsche Legends Pack can be downloaded for £8.49. A bargain.
