Around the time games developer Codemasters was working on its simulator Colin McRae Rally, Colin himself was busy (when not catching 40 winks on his Impreza) winning the China Rally – part of the ’97 Asia-Pacific Rally Championship. He’d finish second in the APRC standings, despite only entering two of the six rounds.
