I have just discovered an aspect of Formula One motor racing which your magazine has never explained to its readership. I think we should be told!
It all happened at the John Player Special Grand Prix Roadshow 84. I was just quietly taking the rare opportunity of inspecting a racing car from “close to”, when an attractive young lady, dressed in black and gold, sidled up to use and said “This is a John Player Special, Sir”.
“A Lotus”, I replied a little sharply.
“No Sir”, she corrected me, “They only make the car.”
