Proptotype GT40 in race return

An original Ford GT40 prototype returned to racing at Goodwood for the first time in nearly 40 years. Chassis 105 debuted at Reims in 1964 in the hands of Richard Attwood and Jo Schlesser. It was used in Le Mans tests in 1965, but not entered in the race, and was later driven by Paul Hawkins. Former BTCC man Richard Meins was ninth in the Whitsun Trophy in the car’s post-restoration debut.
