The Italian Grand Prix was another terrific race on a classic track. I must admit I had questioned Sebastian Vettel’s ability to overtake in a scrap, but he’s blown that out of the water this season — fantastic move on Fernando Alonso.
The last two races, for me, have shown that we really have the best top four drivers (Vettel, Alonso, Button and Hamilton) together since Senna, Prost, Mansell and Piquet in 1986.
It looked like Lewis wanted (was told?) to ensure he finished above all else and didn’t want to take a risk getting past Michael Schumacher.
All in all, great entertainment.
