Buzzard’s eye view of ThrustSSC covering one mile every four seconds on its way to the Land Speed Record at Black Rock Desert, 25 years ago this month. Driven by RAF pilot Andy Green and powered by two Rolls-Royce Spey turbofans, SSC attained 763mph over a mile. The record stands to this day.
