NEEDLES ” LYING ” VERTICALLY
May I also endorse the valuable suggestion of R. A. Macdermid which is mentioned in your last issue to the effect that all needles should be arranged on important instrument dials so as to lie vertically when everything is in order.
I should gladly exchange my present fuel gauge with its depressing tendency to return to zero for one in which the needle would remain in a set position and at the same time accurately record the amount of petrol in my tank throughout a long run ! I am, Yours etc.,
