Sir,

I am enclosing, as promised, a full and unvarnished copy of the tests carried out for us by the Loughborough College of Technology. Their conclusions, as you will read, are cautious in the extreme and I would like to draw your attention to the figures and the graphs wherein lies the meat. You will find, I think, that all the figures we have quoted in advertising are contained in this report and, in fact, I would mention that all the advertising that has taken place has been first passed and O.K.d by Mr. Legg of Loughborough College.

This booklet is what I call test No. 1, and tests 2 concerning two Morris 1000 engines on a bench test, will be out in about two months.

Our whole intention this year was to produce factual advertising and I am, therefore extremely sorry that this mistake on the graph on the Mini-Minor occurred. I am sure you will agree as an engineer that to advertise some test figures and produce a graph which does not match up to these test figures is sheer lunacy.
