At a meeting in Italy the Commission Sportive International of the F.I.A. decided that having made a bad mistake they would stick to it rather than retract. So from 1968 there will be a limit of 3-litres on Group 6 Sports/Prototypes and a limit of 5-litres on Group 4 Sports Cars (50 off); and Renault-Alpine are all ready for the next 1.e Mans with a 3-litre VS. Coincidence ?
