Unsung Genius

Sir,

Your feature on Enzo Ferrari’s Magnificent Machines made for wonderfully evocative reading. Also it was a pleasant change to see a British journalist recognising the truly outstanding abilities and achievements of a driver so often overlooked in this country — Jacky Ickx.

The author variously describes lckx as “the Belgian genius” and “brilliant”, and writes “the world’s best-ever all-round racing driver?” The question-mark was totally superfluous!
