Looking backwards

Sir,

I have been subscribing without a break, to MOTOR SPORT for 23 years for its unrivalled quality in reporting all forms of the sport, especially Formula One. In the last few issues, the content of modern motorsport has been reduced dramatically, to the point where it is now virtually nil.

I would be interested to know how the magazine intends to attract new subscribers, and by this, I mean young people, to a magazine that deals almost exclusively with events and cars from before they were born. It is a well-known fact, that if a business stands still or relies on the past it will eventually die.

I have now cancelled my subscription in favour of a magazine that deals with the present, future, and past, rather than solely the past.

Finally, may I thank you for almost 23 years enjoyable reading and pleasure.

I am yours etc,

Gary Dunn, Northwick, Chesire
