The 10th-anniversary Le Jog is already heading towards a capacity entry of 130 cars. Run over December 6-9, the HERO-organised classic reliability trial takes crews from Lands End to John O’Groats via some of Britain’s most challenging roads.

Wigton Motor Club will run the Kames Classic Sprint on October 5, over three laps of the Ayrshire circuit Classes have been included to cater for all ages of pre-1975 cars, including pre-war.

The British Racing Drivers’ Club will host the Walter Hayes Trophy Meeting at Silverstone over the weekend of November 8/9. The final event in the club’s 75th anniversary season, the Walter Hayes Trophy, will this year be run as a festival-style event for Formula Ford 1600 cars of all eras. The meeting will also include a race for the BRDC Historic Sportscars and two races, one a handicap and one a scratch race, recalling the traditional Eight Clubs meetings at Silverstone that date back to 1949.

The third Rally of the Tests start in Cheltenham on November 14 and finish at Blackpool three days later. The Classic Rally Association event recreates the RAC Rallies of the 1950s, with a series of special tests.
