Spurs, which could be joined in the series by Liverpool, will go up against other top-line clubs from around the world including AC Milan, Roma, Scottish Premier League side Rangers and Beijing Guoan FC.

Its V12-engined Superleague Panoz chassis will take part in the six-race 2009 pilot series liveried in club colours. Drivers and race teams involved in the series include sometime Formula 1 driver Robert Doornbos and Fisichella Motor Sport.
