An English 1,000 Miles
IT is proposed to organise an International 1,000 Miles Race at Brooklands early next year for cars coming within the International Categorie Sport. This embraces cars of all sizes, and the Junior Car Club, who will stage it, will extend invitations to foreign teams.
It is intended to run the race for approximately eight hours on a Friday and Saturday-, as legal restrictions prevent the use of the Track during the hours of darkness. It is understood that the smallest cars in the race would start on their 1,000 miles at 10 a.m. on Friday, but the largest cars would be held back until some hours later.
Although Italy has held a 1,000 miles race for some time, there has never before been a contest of this character in England.
