Lacking an urgent spare—the local sub-agent was temporarily out of stock—I wrote to the makers, being apprehensive about the spares situation generally. The car is used for business, has done less than 10,000 miles and has to last another two years or so.
Not only did I receive a telephone call at my office the next morning from the Parts Manager who informed me the part was on its way direct (and not via the county distributor), but a letter from him followed the day after.
