The Bean CC will hold this event at Clandon Park, near Guildford, Surrey, on September 14th. It is open to Bean (including Perry) and Swift. cars (including Ariel and single-cylinder Austin 7), all Granville Bradshaw designs, especially ABCs, and all Vulcans, inclusive of Vulcan-engined and Vulcan-bodied cars. Other invited makes are Hotchkiss, Amilcar, Mors, Minerva, Salmson, Metallurgique, Panhard, Citroen, FN, Martinsyde, Coventry-Eagle, Clyno, Star, British Salmson, Trojan, Lea-Francis and 14/40 Vauxhall—don’t ask us why! Presumably it’s to be a kind of Mini-Lost-Causes and Calthorpes are also murmured about. There will be a road run over part of the Light Car’s 1920s test-route during the afternoon. Teams of three would be nice, the organiser says, and he defends himself by telling us that one Metallurgique is already entered! The fee is 60p (50p to Bean CC members). Details from : D.
