Knock, Knock

“Knock, knock, Who’s there?” — remember the old game? The answer today seems to be Fiat, in terms of knocking other manufacturers’ products.

We remember a time when even the advertising world regarded such an approach as ungallant, but now Fiat’s adverts claim that, in various aspects, the Tipo is superior to Audi, Austin (Maestro), Ford (Escort), Honda, Mercedes-Benz, Peugeot (309), Vauxhall (Astra), Volvo and Volkswagen (Golf). Fiat’s advertising, agency has also publicly scorned Peugeot’s “sugar cane” scenario.
