All dried out

Brooklands Museum, so disastrously flooded last November, was reopened fully on July 17, when HRH Prince Michael of Kent cut the ribbon to open the new Grand Prix exhibition. There are also new displays in the Campbell and ERA sheds, which had to be refloored and rewired after being under two feet of water for a week.

On July 28, ‘Dream Rides’ in Porsches, Ferraris and Jaguars were arranged to raise money for children’s charities. This was “an opportunity to see activities held at Brooklands” — today, of course, not as in 1907-1939.
