Bad luck for Bill Binnie

July 7, 2014

American Bill Binnie suffered dreadful misfortune during the Brands Hatch 75th anniversary meeting. First, his Maserati 6CM was put off line in qualifying when a car emerged from the pits and Binnie hit the barriers at Paddock Hill Bend, breaking its steering arms.

Then on Sunday his ex-Brian Redman/ Clay Regazzoni Ferrari 312PB was dragged along barriers by a tow truck. Fortunately, damage was limited to the rear body and smaller ancillaries.
