Bladon races, Stoop conquers

Early in July, John Bladon (Surtees TS9B) And Adrian Stoop (Palliser) shared the victories as the FORCE Classic Grand Prix Car series raced on the GP circuit at the Nürburgring.

Having won on Saturday, any hopes that Bladon had of completing the double were dashed by transmission failure at the start of Sunday’s race. On a drying track, it was Stoop’s rare Formula 51300 car that came through to win, although Graham Wilcox (McLaren M14A) was almost level as they raced over the finish line. PL
