Lambda masterwork

A one-model book, as distinct from a one-make book, which covers every conceivable aspect of the Lancia Lambda is the truly all-embracing Capolavoro by Bill Jamieson, edited by John Turner. Its 230 pages describe and illustrate this desirable Lancia model in all its series and guises, from 1922 to ’31. Racing and rallies are not neglected and Lambdas are seen posing with beautiful ladies for their publicity pictures and in every other imaginable way. Technicalities get like treatment and the tables tell it all. Wonderful! I don’t see how any admirer of the Lambda can resist it.

Published in a run of 2000, it is possible to purchase it from Lancia Motor Club Regalia, Jack Romano, 12 Highland Grove, Worksop, Notts, S81 OJN, for £80, plus £8 p&p.

A truly remarkable work, I give it 10 out of 10.
