Prost beats Mansell again!
Alain Prost came out on top in the DTM Legends shoot-out at the Norisring. The four-time World Champion beat five other stars in a series of against-the-clock runs around the famous street circuit.
The 50-year-old, who has made a racing comeback in French GTs this year, headed the times in two of the three sessions at the event held in July. Emerson Fittipaldi was fastest in the third session.
Prost, Fittipaldi, fellow F1 champs Nigel Mansell and Jody Scheckter, plus motorcycle world title winners Johnny Cecotto and Mick Doohan, swapped between Audi, Mercedes and Opel machinery during the event. Each driver got five laps in each marque of car.
Prost said: “Racing is in my blood, so it was great to do it. I was truly impressed by the performance my friends delivered out there.”
