A special award in memory of Charles Golding, the 2002 BHRC champion, will be made to the highest-placed finisher in the MSA British Historic Rally Championship in a self-prepared car.

Race Retro 2008, the Historic Motorsport Show, will take place at Stoneleigh Park from March 14-16 next year, after a new three-year agreement was reached between the organisers and the venue.

The 2008 Tour Auto Lussac will run from April 15-19. The event will start in Paris and finish on the Mediterranean coast, with Osca as next year’s featured marque.

David Williams, the former manager of the late World Rally Champion Richard Burns, was the dominant winner of the 10,000-mile Peking-Paris Challenge at the wheel of his 1938 Chevrolet coupé.
