After winning the 2006 Formula BMW USA series, Canadian Wickens has spent the past five years competing in various Formula Renault 3.5 races alongside other championships. He came second in the 2009 Formula 2 Championship and the 2010 GP3 series, and is having a strong season in Formula Renault 3.5 this year. He is currently second in the points behind Vergne.

JEAN-ERIC VERGNE

After two seasons in Formula Renault 2.0 in 2038-09 Vergne moved to the British F3 Championship, where he won the title with six races remaining. In 2010 he also contested six races in Formula Renault 3.5 and finished an impressive eighth in the series. So far he has won three 3.5 races this year and leads the points. Vergne is well on his way to a promising Fl career.
