Retro rallycross series is go

Rallycross is the latest branch of the sport to initiate a historic element following the launch of the Retro Rallycross Challenge at Mallory Park in July.

Running at four events this season, the series is aimed at rallycross cars from up to 1987. After 20 years away from rallycross, Rob Gibson and his MG Metro 6R4 will return to the sport in the Retro series and will be joined on the grid by James Harrold, who has rebuilt the VW Beetle turbo that his late uncle Peter raced throughout a successful rallycross career.

The series will now visit Lydden (August 26/27), Pembrey (October 7) and Croft (October 28).
