Sir,

I’m just catching up with past issues of your superb magazine, which takes a while to reach the States but is well worth the wait. I loved the piece on Gilles Villeneuve, surely one of the greatest drivers in the sport.

I particularly appreciated Damien Smith’s editorial, which implied that Gilles would prefer the pure driving ability of Fernando Alonso to the strategic stealth that sometimes prevails. Thank you for reminding us that true racing genius still exists, but isn’t always on the podium.
